<부산일보> This is reporter Lee who gives’fly’ whatever the reader wants.

Unraveling the mystery of the city center with honed and polished coverage technology. If you suddenly think,’What is that?’, please do not hesitate to report it. ‘Legendary stories’ of local elders are always welcome. A small tip can be a huge truth.

On the middle of a mountain in Jeonggwan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan.

A four-story abandoned building is left alone.

The windows are shattered, and mysterious photos and documents are scattered, giving off a gloomy atmosphere.

‘Siloam’s House’. It is the last nursing facility for the severely handicapped by the Brothers Welfare Support Foundation.

The Brotherhood Support is a place where human rights violations such as forced labor, assault, and murder were committed against citizens who were forcibly brought in between 1975 and 1987.

What the hell has happened here?

The entrance tightly closed by an iron gate.

Siloam’s house appeared as he climbed the steep slope of 200-300m.

Iron chairs are stuck in broken windows, as if someone did it on purpose, and all room doors are open.

Portraits of people who are presumed to be residents with disabilities are scattered on the floor, and on the whiteboard of the office, the writings used at work in the past are still clear.

There were also a number of documents that were addressed to the Brother Welfare Support Foundation.

Dozens of rooms, including computer labs, catering centers, and toilets, have been left intact with old traces of dust.

Residents only answered that they’don’t know’ about Siloam’s house. I only heard that it was related to the support for brothers and sisters.

I personally visited the ○○ Foundation written on the registered copy, but the door was locked.

An office worker who had a difficult phone call said, “I don’t go to the office unless there is anything special. I can’t say anything because I’m not in charge.”

Fortunately, the report team was able to meet Mr. A, who had worked at Siloam’s house until the end after questioning.

“In February 2017, I finally came out with a lock.”

Mr. A worked at Siloam’s home for about 4 years.

At the time of work, only the first floor was a facility for people with disabilities, and the second and fourth floors were dedicated spaces for the family of the Brother Welfare Support Foundation.

“Many reporters were scattered about data related to brotherhood support (on the 2nd and 4th floors). In the 2nd floor room covered with blankets, there was a list of residents for brotherhood support, and a pass-over certificate with the officials who were forced to bring them. 5 I remember that ~6 boxes were stored under the blanket, and no one took it out even when it was closed.”

According to Mr. A, this’trace’ has recently disappeared. I don’t know who took it for some reason.

“The public officials in charge of Busan City have repeatedly told the leading media that they should not be neglected, but I know they have disappeared. It is the result of the administration that only valued the outcome of the closure.”

As a result of the interview, Siloam’s house was the last facility operated by the Brotherhood Welfare Foundation. And it was a means to call the property of former director Park In-geun’s family.

In 1987, when the brothers’ rehabilitation case broke out, former director Park In-geun served two years and six months. Serious charges such as forced confinement and murder were not applied.

After the release, the Park In-geun family established a nursing facility for the severely disabled in 1991, and in December of that year, the name was changed to Siloam’s house. In July 1999, the facility was moved to the current site of Jeonggwan-eup.

They maintain a social welfare corporation as the house of Siloam and engage in all kinds of profitable businesses such as hot springs and leisure sports. At this time, suspicion of corruption that public officials looked after in the process of expanding the business or in the process of long-term borrowing also erupts.

Kim Kyung-il, secretary general of the Social Welfare Association, said, “Once long-term borrowing was rejected, the permit continued smoothly. Government officials appear in the transfer history of the foundation or on the list of congratulatory money for the wedding of the daughter of Director Park In-geun.”

As Siloam’s house was turned into a good-looking welfare facility, the damage was intact to the residents with disabilities.

The environment is worsening as the stigma of fraternal welfare is cut off and irresponsible management is added.

In 2002, a landslide accident occurred during the foundation’s unauthorized operation, and it was unfortunate that 11 people were injured or killed.

In 2016, the fraternal welfare support property is quickly liquidated, and 41 people with disabilities at Siloam’s home lose their homes and are scattered. According to Mr. A, all have been transferred to new corporations that have not been verified.

In the process of closing, documents that will reveal the truth of the brothers’ welfare support case also disappear. It was estimated that the Park In-geun family’s wealth accumulation data, the fraternal welfare support record book, and the political affairs lobby ledger would be in Siloam’s house, but they disappeared due to the rapid closure and neglect of the facility.

Although the important traces have disappeared, there is still a shadow of brothers’ welfare support.

Active clothing with the mark of support for brothers’ welfare, operation databooks, accounting books for profitable businesses, etc. This will be an important clue to track the illegal illegal property of Brother Welfare Support and relieve the victims’ resentment.

Nevertheless, Siloam has been neglected for a long time, and recently, it has been reduced to a YouTuber’s’homologous’ and’abolished house’ experience. Phrases such as’Save me’ and’Don’t come anymore’ were written all over the building.

The history of support for fraternity is distorted as if there was a serious human rights violation here. There is also a great concern that important data will be damaged.

In fact, an African TV BJ recently made a stimulating broadcast with the title’What did you do while catching people randomly?’

The interview team asked Siloam’s homeownership foundation for management, but only received a response saying “I have nothing to say because I am not in charge.”

Busan City said, “It is a building that has already been liquidated, so it is impossible to go out directly, but I will ask the owned foundation to manage it.”

The brothers’ welfare support case is the 1st case of the’Committee on Reconciliation for Truth and Reconciliation’ (2nd period), which is about to be re-examined.

Siloam’s house may be the last piece of the puzzle to solve the clues.

“It is scarce if there is any more evidence. Nevertheless, as it is the last remaining facility, further investigation is necessary.” (Kim Gyeong-il, Secretary General)

“Even in the aspect of keeping the black history of the brothers’ uniform support well, we must find the traces left there again.” (Pusan City Council Member Park Min-seong)
