[FETV=김현호 기자] Chung Mong-koo, the honorary chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, dropped off all titles after 51 years of joining Hyundai Motor Company as a regular employee in 1970 as a registered director of Hyundai Mobis. Contrary to the original expectations, it decided to completely withdraw from management without taking on unregistered executives. Earlier, Honorary Chairman Chung resigned from the positions of directors of Hyundai Steel and Hyundai E&C in 2014 and 2018, respectively, and in March of last year, he handed over the chairmanship of the board of directors of Hyundai Motors to his son Eui-sun Eui-sun, chairman of Hyundai Motor Group.

◆”Adu MK” Hyundai Motor Company to step down from the front line in 51 years

Honorary Chairman Chung resigned from the positions of directors of Hyundai Steel and Hyundai E&C in 2014 and 2018, respectively, and in March of last year, he handed over the chairmanship of Hyundai Motor’s board of directors to his son Eui-sun Eui-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group. If the Fair Trade Commission accepts a request from Hyundai Motor Group to change the group’s total number (the same person) from Honorary Chairman Chung to Chairman Eui-Sun Eui, the total number of groups will also change in 21 years.

SK Chairman Choi Tae-won was officially elected as Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the first time among the heads of the four groups. ◆ Kang Hee-seok, CEO of E-Mart, “Seriously reviewed the acquisition of eBay Korea… Strengthening online and offline collaboration”

Kang Hee-seok, CEO of E-Mart, announced on the 24th that he was seriously considering the acquisition of eBay Korea. “It is important to establish a business system that E-Mart grows and gives back in the rapidly changing e-commerce environment,” said Kang at the regular shareholders’ meeting. “The plan to participate in this bidding has not been confirmed, but we are seriously considering it.”
