Yes, the new year has begun, but it seems that the cold below normal temperatures will continue this week.

In particular, the momentum of the cold wave is expected to be stronger than last week, so we need to prepare.

First of all, tomorrow, the first commute to work in the new year, will continue to be colder than usual, with the temperature dropping to -8 degrees in the morning of Seoul.

In addition, from the afternoon of the day after Tuesday, the temperature is expected to drop sharply as the second cold season from the north goes south.

The morning temperature in Seoul will drop to -11 degrees on Wednesday and -15 degrees on Thursday, and will plunge to -17 degrees on Friday, bringing the strongest cold wave this winter.

In particular, the temperature felt by the cold wind will stay below -20 degrees Celsius, and the cold weather is expected to stay around -10 degrees Celsius even in the middle of the day.

Yes, it is. Amid the cold wave, a lot of snow is expected on the coast and some inland, so thorough preparation is necessary.

First of all, there may be places where snow falls around the west coast in the cold today, and tomorrow, Monday, it is expected to snow in the central and western regions such as the metropolitan area from night.

This snow is expected to continue until Tuesday morning. The snowfall is around 1cm, but there is a high possibility that the ice will form until the morning on Tuesday’s commute to work due to subzero temperatures, so preparation is necessary.

After that, from Wednesday to Sunday, when the temperature drops significantly, snow bombs will pour in Chungcheong and Honam Jeju Island.

From Wednesday afternoon to Thursday morning, snow is expected to expand into the metropolitan area and Yeongseo region.
