The arctic chill was cooler than expected.

The temperature in the mountainous areas of Gangwon plummeted to -30 degrees Celsius and -20 degrees inland.

It was the coldest weather this winter.

In particular, the temperature in Seoul was 16.5 degrees below zero, 12 degrees lower than in Moscow, Russia, famous for Dongjang-gun in winter.

This is a phenomenon that appeared as the axis of the Arctic cold was headed toward East Asia.

The arctic cold is expected to peak tomorrow morning.

The temperature in Cheorwon is -26 degrees Celsius and -18 degrees Celsius in Seoul is expected to show the lowest temperature in five years since 2016.

As the record cold wave continues, the Han River in Seoul is likely to freeze before the weekend.

It’s been 2 years since winter 2018.

In addition, precautions are needed because there is a concern that the water meter freeze and damage to facilities will occur.

The Meteorological Administration predicted that the momentum would ease slightly from next week after the cold wave continues until the holidays.
