[기상센터][날씨] The strongest cold wave in 20 years, the coldest even during the day…

The momentum of the cold wave got stronger day by day and reached its peak today.

The temperature in Seoul dropped to -18.6 degrees below zero, and in one day it hit the lowest temperature this winter, especially in the coldest in 20 years since 2001.

I am now in the Han River Park near Goyang City.

As if to show the momentum of this cold wave, the water is frozen from the edge of the Han River.

It seems that the cold wave below -10 degrees will continue until this weekend.

Please continue to maintain body temperature and take good care of your health.

Even in the middle of the day, a strong cold of around 10 degrees below zero will continue.

Seoul is 10 degrees below zero, Daejeon is 8 degrees below zero, and Daegu is 6 degrees below zero.

The peak of the cold wave has passed, but the strong cold below -10 degrees will continue until this weekend.

The cold wave will gradually ease from the beginning of next week.

There is still a lot of snow in the Jeollanam-do area and Jeju, amid the strong cold, amid heavy snow warnings.

Until the day after tomorrow, there will be more than 30cm of snow in the mountains of Jeju and Dokdo of Ulleungdo and 5~15cm of snow on the west coast of Honam.

Up to 7 cm of snow will fall and accumulate on the west coast of Chungnam and the inland west of Honam.

Please continue to be cautious as the heavy snow is likely to last a long time through this weekend.

The snow has fallen amid the strongest cold wave, and the roads are still forming ice.

When driving, keep a generous distance between cars and drive slowly.

Pedestrians are advised to be careful of slipping accidents.
