[기상센터][날씨] Sub-zero cold on the way to work…Beware of snow and ice nationwide during the day

These days, spring and winter, the weather is very fickle, going back and forth between the two seasons.

Today, the cold of winter came again.

Currently, the temperature in Seoul is -6.5 degrees below zero, 10 degrees lower than yesterday morning, and the temperature felt by the cold wind is about 3 degrees lower than this.

During the daytime, the temperature will remain sub-zero throughout the day and the cold will continue.

When you come out, please wear a warm winter coat.

Amid cold weather warnings in most parts of the country, the temperature in Seoraksan, Yangyang, Gangwon-do, has plummeted to -18 degrees Celsius, and Daegwallyeong is -11.9 degrees Celsius. Cheorwon is also 10 degrees below zero.

Even in the middle of the day, it will be cold all day, 2 to 7 degrees below the standard this time of year.

The daytime temperature in Seoul will stay at -1°C, Daejeon 2°C, and Gwangju and Daegu 6°C.

There is also news of snow everywhere in the cold, starting in the mid-north region in the morning, and it will snow in other inland areas during the day.

Up to 7cm of snow will fall in southern Gyeonggi and Chungcheong, and 1~3cm of snow is expected in Seoul and other inland areas.

Snow stops today, and snow clouds that have developed strongly in the West Sea will flow in again from dawn tomorrow.

In the western part of Honam and the mountainous areas of Jeju, it is expected that heavy snowfalls of 15 to 20 centimeters or more are expected from the day after tomorrow.

Also, tomorrow morning, the temperature in Seoul will drop to -10 degrees Celsius.

This cold is expected to ease from the second half of the week.

Most of today’s snowfall will stop before work, but the road will be very slippery due to the freezing of the sub-zero cold.

It is best to pay special attention to traffic safety and use public transportation whenever possible.
