It is said that the cold wave continues until the holidays and then eases from the beginning of next week.

The lowest temperature in Seoul was 18.6 degrees below zero.

The temperature of 18.6 degrees below zero on January 15, 2001 reappeared after 20 years.

The coldest place in the country is Hyangrobong Peak in Gangwon-do, where the temperature dropped to -29.1 degrees Celsius, and the perceived temperature was recorded as -44.1 degrees Celsius, making the Arctic cold wave feel.

In the southern provinces, Jeonbuk Imsil fell to -22.8 degrees, Jeonju -16.5 degrees, and Busan also -12.2 degrees, making it the coldest this winter.

This Arctic cold wave peaked today, but the momentum will remain until the holidays.

After that, it is expected to soften from the beginning of next week.

Yes, even today, snow continues in the cold wave between the west coast and the mountains of Jeju Island.

Currently, heavy snow warnings in the mountains of Jeju Island are being issued to the west coast of Jeju Island and Jeollanam-do.

Over 60 cm of snow has already fallen in the mountains of Jeju Island, and about 20 cm of snow has accumulated on the west coast of Chungcheong and Honam.

The Meteorological Administration predicted that there will be more than 30cm of snow in the mountains of Jeju Island until the holidays, and that up to 15cm of snow will fall on the west coast and Jeju Island.
