A protest was held at Harvard University to condemn Harvard Professor Ramsey, who distorted the history of Japanese military comfort women.
As the chronic history distortion problem arose again, Korean Americans in Boston recently launched active activities to inform the history of comfort women in the Japanese military.
Reporter Yang Soo-yeon went to the site directly.

“Withdraw false thesis! Withdraw! Withdraw!”
The shouts of anger at Professor Ramsey, who wrote a dissatisfied dissertation “Japanese military comfort women voluntary prostitutes,” echoed in Harvard University.
Koreans gathered from not only Boston but also from all over the United States are determined to truly confront the distortions of the history of comfort women and false agitation of the pro-Japanese forces.

The condemnation of Professor Ramsey is more active, especially with Korean students and Korean students.
Last month, Harvard Law School students invited Grandma Lee Yong-soo, a survivor of Japanese military comfort women, online to’Know the History of Comfort Women in the Japanese Army.’

This is not the first time that compatriots have been involved in the Japanese military’comfort women’ issue.
In 2007, Harvard University hosted a testimony event for Grandma Lee Yong-soo in Boston for the first time.

The voice of criticism of Professor Ramsey is growing from across the United States to the Korean American community, to local academics and political circles.
Experts are watching the results of the thesis review and Harvard University’s response, saying that classes may be excluded if unethicality is verified in Professor Ramsey’s academic research.
