It is noteworthy that the US-Japan summit reaffirmed North Korea’s willingness to fully denuclearize and at the same time clarified its willingness to cooperate with China.

The two leaders were determined to cooperate in virtually all directions, but China criticized it for tackling internal affairs.

Through this summit, the US and Japan announced that there will be a joint response to China that goes beyond mere checks.

Looking at the contents of the joint statement, we can guess the specific direction. First, it is expected that Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Xinjiang Uighur and other China’s extremely sensitive reactions will continue to stimulate.

First of all, it is because the Taiwan issue has been addressed.

It is the first time since the US-Japan summit in 1969 that the Taiwan issue has been contained in a joint statement, and interpretations suggest that it is intended to check China and emphasize Japan’s role in the region.

The two leaders also expressed serious concerns about human rights in Hong Kong and Xinjiang Uyghur.

The issue of Senkaku and Diaoyudao Islands, which are territorial disputes between Japan and China, was re-emphasized that it is subject to the US-Japan security treaty, suggesting that in case of emergency, the two countries could respond with a common risk.

We also reaffirmed our willingness to cooperate with the informal security council’Quad’.

Although it did not directly point to China, it has emphasized that it will cooperate with the G7 and WTO to deal with unfair practices such as intellectual property infringement and forced technology transfer targeting China.

In fact, through this meeting, the two countries have built a front for cooperation in all directions, including human rights, economy, and security.

China has pointed out that it has touched matters related to its territorial sovereignty and maritime interests, and warned that such actions by the US and Japan would lead to harm to itself.

In an article posted on Twitter after the meeting, Japanese Prime Minister Suga said that although stable relations with China are important, he hopes to further strengthen cooperation with the United States.
