[국제]US CDC “Severe side effects are rare after COVID-19 vaccination”

According to a study, there are few cases of serious side effects after receiving the Corona 19 vaccine from Pfizer-Bioentech and Modena.

CDC researchers analyzed data registered in the’Vaccine Side Effect Reporting System’ (VAERS) from December 14 last year to January 13 of this year. 12,000 people have registered with this system.

The median age of the enrolled vaccinators was 42 years old, of whom 6,994, or 0.4 percent, reported experiencing side effects after getting the vaccine.

Of those who experienced side effects, 90.8% (6,354) reported mild side effects, while the remaining 9.2% and 640 reported severe side effects.

The most common type of side effect was headache, which 22.4% experienced, followed by fatigue and dizziness, followed by chills, nausea, muscle pain, fever, and joint pain.

Of those classified as serious side effects, 113 died, of which 65.0% or 78 were residents of long-term care facilities.

However, the researchers said, “Combining autopsy reports, medical records, and clinical findings from medical staff does not suggest any accidental relationship between vaccination and death.”

There were only 62 cases of hypersensitivity, one of the serious allergic reactions, CDC explained, that the incidence of hypersensitivity to this level is in the same range as reported with the flu vaccination.
