As a result of the NHK statistics, 8 people were injured so far as the number of people lost due to the earthquake.

Japanese media say that most of the people injured during the earthquake, such as bumping into a furniture fall, are injured.

No special problems have yet been confirmed at nuclear power plants in the earthquake area.

Tohoku Electric Power, which is in charge of the operation of the Onagawa nuclear power plant in Miyagi Prefecture, announced that a small falling object was found in a tank storing nuclear fuel.

Tohoku Electric Power plans to collect and investigate these falling objects.

The Japan Atomic Energy Regulatory Commission and each nuclear power plant operator also announced that there was no change as a result of checking the radiation dose of nuclear power plants in Miyagi Prefecture, Fukushima and Ibaraki Prefectures after the earthquake.

After a 7.3 earthquake on the 13th of last month, the Fukushima nuclear power plant showed problems from the next day, such as lowering the water level inside the containment vessel.

Tokyo Electric Power, the operator of the Fukushima nuclear power plant, has been conducting investigations from this morning on the impact of the earthquake.

Currently, strong rain is falling in East Japan, including Tokyo, including areas affected by the earthquake.

Storm warnings have already been issued in the coastal areas of Fukushima.

Authorities are calling attention, saying that the ground weakened by the earthquake could cause additional damage, such as collapsing in heavy rain.

This earthquake also seems to be the aftershock of the Great East Japan Earthquake 10 years ago.

The 7.3 earthquake that occurred off the coast of Fukushima on the 13th of last month also affected areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake 10 years ago.

The earthquake was similar, but the difference is that a tsunami advisory was issued this time.

Considering that most of the casualties during the Great East Japan Earthquake were caused by the tsunami, there was considerable anxiety among residents.

This tsunami advisory was predicted to be up to 1m in height, and residents quickly evacuated to the high ground, and fortunately there was no damage.

The Japanese government’s Earthquake Investigation Committee announced on the 9th that there have been 469 earthquakes of magnitude 1 in the region over the past year.

Compared to before the Great East Japan Earthquake, it is 1.5 times.

At a press conference after the earthquake last month, the Earthquake Investigation Committee pointed out that aftershocks will continue in the area for at least the next 10 years.
