There is a widespread condemnation of Korean Americans in the United States for Ramsay Harvard’s remarks.

We started an international petition for the withdrawal of thesis and apology, and we decided to hold condemnation rallies one after another.

Six Korean American associations in the northeastern United States close to Harvard University held condemnation.

Koreans stressed that Ramsay’s thesis seriously undermined the human rights and honor of victims who were taken as sexual slaves in the Japanese military.

In particular, he urged that it be withdrawn immediately as it has completely denied history.

He stressed that human rights abuses and ruthless sexual violence committed against women during the severe war are historical truths that must never be distorted.

In addition, we plan to receive online signatures and deliver them to Harvard University, which is showing a lukewarm attitude, and to the academic journal scheduled for publication.

However, as the President of Harvard University said that even a distorted thesis belongs to academic freedom, disciplinary action does not seem easy right away.

The Massachusetts Korean Association, where Harvard University is located, decided to hold a condemnation rally in front of the school on the third day.
