A massive container ship stranded while passing through the Suez Canal in Egypt completely blocks the canal, resulting in severe congestion at sea.

The first attempt to float a stranded ship on the water failed.

Lifting experts predicted that it would take at least one week to lift the ship.

This is a satellite image of the southern waters of the Suez Canal released by the European Space Agency.

The two photos were taken two days before (21st) and two days after (25th) the aground accident of the container ship’Ever Given’.

On the left, the ships are waiting in order to pass through the Suez Canal, but on the right, you can see that the number of ships with their feet increased significantly after the canal was blocked.

As of the 26th local time, the number of boats waiting at the entrance to both sides of the Suez Canal has risen to more than 200.

This is the first sea congestion situation in the history of the Suez Canal.

The only solution is to bring the stranded ship back onto the water, but it’s not easy to pull out a super-sized container ship with its prow stuck in the sand of the embankment.

The Suez Canal Authority says the Ever Given will have to scoop up a significant amount of mud and sand from the prow banks to move again.

To this end, the Canal Authority put in heavy suction equipment and tugboats capable of removing 2,000 cubic meters of sand per hour.

In the midst of this, the first stimulus attempt made on Friday failed.

Ever Given’s technical manager said two more tugboats will arrive by Sunday local time.

One salvage expert predicted that even assuming the best scenario, it would take at least a week to lift the Evergiven.
