Residents escaped from a sudden fire.

A pregnant woman who lost her place to live in one day only sheds tears in sorrow.

On the 22nd local time, a big fire broke out in the Rohingya refugee camp in southern Bangladesh.

The fire went out in 10 hours, but thousands of houses, including houses, were burned.

The casualties were also great.

Foreign media quoted UNHCR and witnesses saying that several people were killed and hundreds were injured.

[화재 피해 로힝야 난민 : 1,000여 채의 집들이 불에 탔을 수 있어요. 사람들도 많이 죽었는데 빠져나올 수 없었던 노인들이 가장 많이 숨진 것 같습니다.]

There are also not a few missing people, so casualties are always expected.

[화재 피해 로힝야 난민 : 아이들과 아내가 어디 있는지 모르겠어요. 나는 1-13 블록에 살았습니다. 제 아이들과 아내는 어디에 있나요?]

The damage was large because the refugee camp houses were made of wooden planks and vinyl, making them vulnerable to fire.

The exact cause of the fire is not known, but it is known that there have been three fires in the last four days.

Authorities estimate that in the case of this fire, a fire that started somewhere led to a gas explosion.

The Cox’s Bazar area, which was on fire, was provided by Bangladesh to settle the Rohingya tribes who fled the Myanmar army’s sweeping operations in 2017.

Myanmar has attempted to repatriate them against the Bangladeshi government, but the Rohingya rejected it every time.

The Bangladeshi government is known to have recently set up residential facilities on remote islands to promote the migration of 100,000 people.
