In Japan, the number of new corona19 confirmed cases exceeded the highest for two consecutive days.

Although the Japanese government’s response to Corona 19 was late, various measures have not been effective in the atmosphere at the end of the year.

Let’s start with the infection situation in Japan.

The number of new confirmed cases on the second day is the largest, but you can’t see any signs of subsidence?

[기자]

The number of newly infected people in Japan was 3,740 yesterday based on NHK’s count.

It was 460 more than the day before, recording the most confirmed cases since the second day of the corona crisis.

In particular, close to 900 confirmed cases a day came out in Tokyo.

The Governor of Tokyo Metropolitan Government Koike heard that the number of inspections was high.

In Tokyo alone, the prospect of surpassing 1,000 confirmed cases a day is gradually becoming a reality.

Three prefectures, including Kanagawa, Chiba and Saitama, near the metropolitan area, centered on Tokyo, also had the largest number of confirmed cases on a daily basis.

There is also a possibility that a mutant virus originating from the UK, which has been highly controversial, has been introduced to Japan.

On the 16th, a man in his 30s who returned home from England was confirmed as positive.

Health officials are investigating whether the man has been infected with a highly contagious mutant virus.

Although the Japanese government has put out countermeasures for corona in a belated manner, it is not showing any effect.

You said that the infection was confirmed after having a dinner party for the Maritime Self-Defense Force Chief of Staff, the chief of staff of the Navy in Korea?

[기자]

On the 22nd, it was known that the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Forces leader Makryyo Yamamura and Makryyo Nishi were infected with Corona 19.

Defense Minister Kishi announced in a press conference today that the two attended the farewell party of 14 fellow members on the 16th, before the infection was confirmed.

Minister Kishi said that there was alcohol in the seats, while explaining that the seats were maintained and acrylic plates were also installed.

In order to prevent the spread of the infection, the Japanese government has appealed to refrain from gatherings such as year-end parties and to have fewer than 5 people even if they gather, but high-ranking officials are also not following them.

Prior to this, Prime Minister Suga also apologized to the public after it was revealed that he had attended a dinner with several people almost every evening amid the Korosa crisis.

The number of confirmed cases in Japan now is about 10 times that of last spring’s emergency.

These cases clearly show that the overall vigilance about Corona 19 in Japanese society has become looser compared to those days.

In particular, decorative lights are installed throughout Tokyo to illuminate the night streets for the New Year holidays.

With crowds trying to take commemorative photos every evening, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government even requested that these lights be turned on until 8pm.

Prime Minister Suga is predicting a press conference to the public on Corona 19 this evening.

With the belated response and the approval rating dropping significantly, attention is paid to what position to take.
