In Japan, the number of new corona19 confirmed cases exceeded the highest for two consecutive days.

Although the Japanese government’s response to Corona 19 was late, various measures have not been effective in the atmosphere at the end of the year.

Let’s start with the infection situation in Japan.

The number of new confirmed cases on the second day is the largest, but you can’t see any signs of subsidence?

The number of newly infected people in Japan was 3,740 yesterday based on NHK’s count.

It was 460 more than the day before, recording the most confirmed cases since the second day of the corona crisis.

In particular, close to 900 confirmed cases a day came out in Tokyo.

The Governor of Tokyo Metropolitan Government Koike heard that the number of inspections was high.

In Tokyo alone, the prospect of surpassing 1,000 confirmed cases a day is gradually becoming a reality.

Three prefectures, including Kanagawa, Chiba and Saitama, near the metropolitan area, centered on Tokyo, also had the largest number of confirmed cases on a daily basis.

There is also a possibility that a mutant virus originating from the UK, which has been highly controversial, has been introduced to Japan.

On the 16th, a man in his 30s who returned home from England was confirmed as positive.

Health officials are investigating whether the man has been infected with a highly contagious mutant virus.

Although the Japanese government has put out countermeasures for corona in a belated manner, it is not showing any effect.

It’s Christmas in Japan too, so how is the atmosphere in the town?

[기자]

In Japan, there are many companies that are closed from Christmas to the end of the year.

As the number of confirmed cases has increased rapidly every day, the crowds on the street have decreased somewhat recently.

However, compared to the time of the emergency last spring, the tension has clearly fallen.

In particular, decorative lights that illuminate the streets at night are installed in various places in Tokyo, attracting people who want to take commemorative photos.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government even requested that these lights be turned on until 8 p.m. to prevent the spread of infection.

The cumulative number of infected people nationwide exceeded 100,000 was on October 30, about 10 months after the start of the coronavirus outbreak.

However, it took less than two months to double the number of infected people on the 21st, which exceeded 200,000.

The number of confirmed patients a day is 10 times that of last spring when an emergency was declared.

The Japanese government’s response and individual sense of crisis are unable to keep up with the severe infection increase trend.

Prime Minister Suga is predicting a press conference to the public on Corona 19 this evening.

With the belated response and the approval rating dropping significantly, attention is paid to what position to take.
