Prior to the EMA, British health authorities also stepped up safety, saying there was no evidence that the AstraZeneca vaccine caused blood clots.

The World Health Organization and the WHO also recommended that the AstraZeneca vaccine continue to be vaccinated, saying the benefits outweigh the risks.

Major European countries praised the EMA’s confirmation that the AstraZeneca vaccine was safe.

Germany and France, which had been halting the AstraZeneca vaccine for some time, said they would immediately resume immunization.
