There were people in South Africa who had been infected with Corona 19 months ago, and now they are reinfecting the mutant virus.

Anthony Pouch, director of the National Allergy and Infectious Disease Research Institute, the top expert in Corona 19 in the United States, told NBC News that he heard it while talking to scientists and public health experts in South Africa.

“This suggests that the immune response induced by the first infection wasn’t good enough to prevent the second infection,” said Pouch.

Director Pouch emphasized vaccination to prevent this reinfection.

CNN reported on the 30th local time that a person infected with the South African mutant virus was also confirmed in Maryland, USA.

Maryland state health officials say people infected with the South African mutant virus have no history of travel abroad and appear to be local.

In the United States, two people were confirmed to be infected with the South African mutant virus for the first time in South Carolina on the 28th.

In addition, more than 430 cases of mutant virus originating from the UK were found in 30 states and one in Minnesota from Brazil.

The CDC, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the United States, issued guidelines that mandated wearing a mask when using public transportation such as subways, buses, and taxis from 11:59 p.m. local time on February 1st.
