Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Tamura Noricha, held a press conference last night on the 25th, and announced that five nationals returning from the UK have been confirmed to be infected with the corona19 mutant virus.

Two out of five people infected with the mutant virus returned home through Haneda Airport on the 21st and three through Kansai Airport on the same day.

They were tested positive for Corona 19 at the airport, and their samples were analyzed by the National Institute of Infectious Diseases in Japan, and it was revealed to be a corona 19 mutant virus.

Five people infected with the mutant virus are men and women under the age of 10 to 60 years old, four have no symptoms, and one has been reported to have symptoms of boredom.

There have also been cases of mutant virus infection in Germany.

The German Ministry of Health in Baden-Wurttemberg said that a woman who arrived at Frankfurt Airport by air from London, UK on the 20th, has been confirmed to be infected with the COVID-19 mutation.

An analysis of a sample taken from the woman revealed that it was a mutant virus currently spreading in the UK, officials say.

The mutant virus, which first appeared in southeastern England at the end of September, was found to have up to 70% stronger transmission power than the existing Corona 19 virus.

In the midst of this, the United States has joined forces with measures that 40 countries around the world, including Korea, have arrived from the UK.

CDC, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the United States, announced in a statement on the 24th local time that all passengers departing from the UK to the United States must receive a negative Corona 19 test within 72 hours before departure.

This is due to concerns about the spread of the COVID-19 mutant virus in the UK, and this action will be applied from the 28th local time, CDC said.
