President Biden did not mention China in his inaugural address.

For the inauguration of US President Biden, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in China said congratulations.

Chinese Ambassador Chu Tiankai also posted a short post on Twitter saying congratulations on taking office.

China, along with a somewhat ceremonial figure, called for the normalization of US-China relations, which had worsened during the Trump administration.

In his inaugural address, he didn’t mention China a word.

Chinese officials interpreted it as not sending a clear signal for improving US-China relations.

The day before President Biden’s inauguration ceremony, President Xi Jinping visited the planned site for the Beijing Winter Olympics.

After visiting all the sites for two days in a row, they expressed satisfaction.

President Xi said the successful preparation for the Winter Olympics was due to the superiority of the socialist system.

This is to compare with Japan, where the Olympics are unclear and the United States, where more than 400,000 people died due to quarantine failure.
