According to World Omometer, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Brazil as of the 21st local time reached 12 million and the death toll reached 300,000.

The number of new confirmed cases has reached around 90,000 in the last week.

The number of deaths per day was set at 2,841 on the 16th, and the number of deaths per day is continuing to 2,000 for five days in a row.

The Brazilian mutant virus, called’P.1.’, has been observed to have a much stronger spread and severity than the existing Corona 19 virus.

This mutant virus is spreading rapidly beyond Brazil to neighboring countries.

Of the 13 countries in South America, 7 countries, including Argentina, Peru, and Chile, have confirmed mutant viruses.

As distrust of the Brazilian government’s ability to control Corona 19 is growing, neighboring countries in South America are unilaterally strengthening quarantine measures, such as blockades, without consultation with Brazil.

The World Health Organization, WHO, warned that Brazil’s COVID-19 situation is likely to threaten not only Latin America, but the world as well.
