[국제]Blincoln “We will not force our allies to choose between the US and China.”

US Secretary of State Tony Blincoln has visited Europe and said the United States will not force allies to choose between China and the United States.

However, referring to the fifth generation of mobile communications, he stressed that technology companies from countries such as Korea, Sweden, Finland and the United States should be brought together to cope with China’s’surveillance risk’.

US Secretary of State Tony Blincoln delivered a speech at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, on the second day of his European visit.

Secretary Blincoln stressed that the challenge from China requires response and cooperation from allies.

But the United States says it will not force its allies to choose between China and the United States.

He explained that allies could cooperate with China in some areas, such as climate change and health.

[토니 블링컨 / 미 국무장관 : 중국의 강압적인 행동이 우리의 집단적 안보와 번영을 위협하고 있지만 미국은 동맹국들을 중국과 양자택일하도록 강요하지 않을 것입니다.]

Secretary Blincoln’s remarks are quite different from former President Donald Trump’s hard line.

But he said China’s military ambition is growing and there is a serious risk of surveillance in high-tech areas such as fifth-generation mobile communications, and emphasized the need for joint response and support from allies.

Secretary Blincoln explained that the United States, in particular, accounts for 25% of the world’s gross domestic product, and that with allies, that share could go up to 60%.

In that case, he emphasized the joint response and cooperation of allies, saying that it could surpass China in any stadium.
