[국제]”Blincoln, “I will not force the alliance to choose between the US and China”

US Secretary of State Tony Blincoln warned on Wednesday that China is trying to weaken Western democracies, but said the United States will not force its allies to choose between China and the United States.

In a speech at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, “The United States will not force our allies to choose’we or them’,” according to Reuters and others.

Secretary Blincoln’s remarks, according to the AFP, are quite different from former President Donald Trump’s attempts to force European allies to take a harder line with China.

European countries such as Germany and France have been striving to maintain a strategic balance between the United States and China.

Minister Blincoln, who first visited Europe to attend a meeting of NATO member countries’ foreign ministers, said on the day that “each country can cooperate with China when possible,” citing climate change as an area that requires cooperation with China.

Blincoln also emphasized that the United States accounts for about 25% of the world’s gross domestic product (GDP), and that with allies in Europe and Asia, the ratio could go up to 60%. “This is a difficult situation for China to ignore.” Added.

“China’s technology poses a serious surveillance risk,” Blincoln said, referring to 5th generation mobile communications (5G). “It brings together technology companies from countries such as Sweden, Finland, Korea and the United States, and is a safe and reliable alternative. “We have to use public and private investments to nurture them.”
