This will be the first time President Biden meets foreign leaders in person after taking office.

He also explained that the US-Japan summit will be a sign that US diplomacy is getting out of the Corona 19 crisis and is gradually normalizing.

The media added that the schedule for Prime Minister Suga’s visit to the United States has not yet been confirmed, and that it may be delayed slightly depending on the corona situation and the like.

Since taking office, President Biden has held a video summit with the Mexican President following the Canadian Prime Minister.

Earlier, Axios reported that President Biden would also attend the’Quad’ video summit this month, which is a council of four countries.

China is tightly holding back the quad system.

In the former Trump administration, the British Prime Minister visited the White House for the first time.

President Trump invited Prime Minister May within a week after taking office, and the following month he called Japanese Prime Minister Abe to a resort in Florida to play golf together.

President Obama also invited Japanese Prime Minister Aso to the White House in February 2009 for the first time.

Axios observed that the US-Japan summit would be perceived as a sign of implicit aid to Prime Minister Suga in trouble in Japan.
