The results of an evaluation by the European Medicines Agency, which has been investigating the link between the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and the outbreak of rare blood clots, are released as early as today.

The European Medicines Agency is in the position that the final review has not yet been completed, and it is noted that a senior official at the agency revealed that there appears to be a causal link between the vaccine and the occurrence of rare blood clots.

Marco Cavaleri, head of vaccine strategy at the European Medicines Agency, says there seems to be a clear link between the AstraZeneca vaccine and some rare thrombosis.

But he added, “We still don’t know what causes this reaction.

In response to Cavalelli’s remarks, who are responsible for evaluating the vaccine, the European Medicines Agency has blocked further controversy, saying it has not yet reached a conclusion as to whether it is relevant.

The European Medicines Agency will issue new recommendations today or tomorrow as soon as the safety committee’s evaluation work is completed.

The World Health Organization (WHO), which has recommended continued vaccination of the AstraZeneca vaccine, has stepped out to soothe anxiety, saying that there is no link between the vaccine and thrombotic disease right now.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also stressed the need to continue vaccinating AstraZeneca by visiting a vaccine raw material plant.

With some European countries restricting or stopping AstraZeneca vaccination, new recommendations from the European Medicines Agency on the involvement of rare blood clots are drawing attention.
