On the 4th, in Tamu in the central Sagaing area, protesters threw a grenade at a military truck, killing four rioters.

The recent bloody suppression of the military led to casualties in this area, so they took up arms and launched a counterattack.

On the 25th of last month, when a young man in his thirties was killed and seven people were injured in the process of suppressing the protests, citizens who were resentful began an attack the next day, killing four soldiers.

Six soldiers were killed in an attack led by a police officer who joined the protesters on the 2nd, but the police became the second victim of the region.

Local media, Irrawaddy, reported that at least 14 soldiers have been killed in a civil counterattack in the area in the last ten days.

In the villages of Inmabin and Kani, a firefight took place between the military and police and citizens on the 2nd, and the residents fired glass or iron bullets with their own guns.

One resident said, “We don’t have the right weapons, but if we don’t fight the military, the next generation will be in a worse situation,” he said, and that he would resist the military regime.

Gunfights broke out between the military and police and civilians in nearby Kale village and central Magwee, and in Bago, the military-owned news agency Mitel office and government troops guard were bombed.

Thousands of residents living in refugee camps in Shan State in eastern Myanmar are digging evacuation bunkers, seeing an air raid by Myanmar forces imminent.

Myanmar’s Now reported that Myanmar’s military announced on the 30th of last month to Thai border officials that there will be air strikes in the area soon.

Earlier, the Myanmar military has launched several air raids on Karen settlements near the Thai border.

In Myanmar, it takes an hour to recover a body on the road due to indiscriminate shooting by the military and police.

This is because the military and police are also shooting guns at the paramedics.

One paramedic said, “It looks like a massacre,” and said, “It is too dangerous to even recover the body, rather than to save the injured.”
