As the allegations of speculation by LH employees are causing social resentment, voices are rising to withdraw the designation of additional 3rd new towns such as Gwangmyeong and Siheung, where problems have arisen.

More than half of YTN’s polls said it was appropriate to withdraw the designation.

For alleged dumping of land by LH employees, the government has foreshadowed severe penalties.

However, apart from this, it is a position that the government will proceed with the real estate measures announced so far as planned.

But public opinion is not good.

In the Cheong Wa Dae national petition, there is an article requesting the withdrawal of the 3rd new city designation, saying that it is impossible to leave fish to cats every day.

When YTN asked for public opinion on the promotion of the 3rd new towns such as Gwangmyeong and Siheung, which were added as measures for the 2nd and 4th real estate measures, more than half of the respondents said that withdrawal was appropriate.

57.9% said the withdrawal was appropriate, and 43.4% said it was particularly appropriate.

34% said it was inappropriate.

This response came out regardless of ideological orientation.

66% of moderate tendencies, 58% of conservative tendencies, and 52% of progressive tendencies demanded withdrawal of designation.

There was no significant difference in airflow even by age.

64.2% of those in their 30s answered that withdrawal was appropriate, and they were the strongest. Only in their 70s, the opinions of withdrawal were tight, and in all other age groups, withdrawal opinions were a majority.

This survey, commissioned by YTN, was conducted by Real Meter on the 12th, and the sample error is ±4.4% with a 95% confidence level.
