Chairman Shin Chun-ho of Nongshim, the leading character of the Shin Ramyun myth, entered Yeong-myeon at the age of 92.

In the vacant place of the deceased at the funeral hall of Seoul National University Hospital, children such as the eldest son Dong-won Shin and the son-in-law, Chairman Suh Gyeong-bae of AMOREPACIFIC stayed there.

Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin, his nephew, sent harmony to commemorate the deceased.

Born in Ulsan in 1930, Chairman Shin Chun-ho helped his eldest eldest, late Chairman Gyeok-ho Shin, to take his first step into the business world at the Lotte Group.

After that, after struggling with his brother over the promotion of the ramen business, he went on his own stand, and changed the name of the company to’Nong Shim’, proclaiming a second start-up.

When we were hungry, the deceased’s will to make cheap and suitable substitute meals gave birth to products that were exported to more than 100 countries around the world.

Chairman Shin is known to have emphasized the importance of the brand early on by devising names and advertising phrases for popular products such as’Shrimp Cracker’.

Chairman Shin, who led the company for 56 years, was active in the front line of management until only a month ago, but recently passed away without being able to overcome the rapid deterioration in health.
