The government selected Gwangmyeong and Siheung as the 6th 3rd new city to supply housing in the metropolitan area.

On the 4th, the government announced plans to supply 830,000 homes.
Among them, it was decided to build 250,000 units by discovering new public housing sites.
The metropolitan area supplies 70,000 units to Gwangmyeong and Siheung.
It is the 6th 3rd new city.
Gwangmyeong and Siheung public housing sites announced today are 12.71 million square meters, which is 4.3 times the size of Yeouido.
It is the largest among the three individual new cities announced earlier.
The government’s plan is to create this area adjacent to Seoul as a self-sufficient city that serves as a base for development of the southwestern side.
In addition, we plan to create a park and green area that is 1.3 times the size of Yeouido.
Another concern is traffic measures in the new city.
The government also announced a plan to build a public transportation system connecting lines 1, 2 and 7, the Sinansan Line, GTX-B, and the 2nd Gyeongin Line by constructing an inter-Korean urban railway that runs through the new city.

First of all, it is Daejeo District, Gangseo-gu, Busan.
It supplies 18,000 houses in 2.43 million square meters.
Transportation measures include the Busan-Gimhae Light Rail Station in the district and a new tram stop on the Gangseo Line.
Another is Sanjeong District in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.
It is expected to supply 13,000 units in 1.68 million square meters.
The government has decided to designate the public housing site announced this time as a land transaction permission zone, and conduct a plan and investigation into actual transaction for speculative demand such as abnormal transactions.
In addition, the first district announced today will be subject to pre-subscription early in 2023, and pre-sale will begin in 2025.
