Consumer prices rose 1.1% last month, showing the largest increase in the past year.
In particular, the inflation rate of shopping carts, such as agricultural and livestock products, reached the highest level in 10 years, increasing the burden on the common people.

Consumer prices, especially food prices, have risen dramatically?

Yes, it is.
Consumer prices last month stood at 107.00, up 1.1% from the same period last year, the largest increase in a year.
The rate of increase in consumer inflation, which has remained at the 0% level, has risen to the 1% level in 5 months.
In particular, agricultural, livestock, and fishery prices rose by 16.2% due to sluggish agricultural production, avian influenza damage, and increased demand for holidays.
This figure is the highest rate of increase in 10 years.
By category, the rise of agricultural products was the steepest.
Last month, agricultural product prices jumped a whopping 21.3% from a year ago, the highest level since 2011.
Green onion prices rose by 227.5% and apples rose by 55.2% as the crop was sluggish due to bad weather conditions.
In addition, the price of red pepper powder increased by 35% and rice by 12.9%.
Livestock products also rose 14.4%, showing the largest increase since June 2011.
In particular, the price of eggs jumped 41.7% due to the increase in holiday demand amid a sharp drop in supply due to the avian influenza, and pork and domestic beef prices rose by 18% and 11.2%, respectively.
On the other hand, the price of industrial products fell 0.7%.
Petroleum prices fell by 6.2%, showing a slowdown due to the recent rise in international oil prices.
The rent rose 0.9% from the previous year, the most since March 2018, and the rates of jeonse and monthly rent rose 1.2% and 0.5%, respectively.
So far, the Ministry of Economy has delivered it.
