[경제]Apple’s corrective plan for’mobile operator Gapjil’ is confirmed…100 billion won raised

Apple, which was investigated by the FTC, for surrendering advertising costs to domestic mobile carriers, came up with its own improvement plan and received approval after a year and a half.

Apple has announced that it will raise 100 billion won of win-win funds over the next three years and use it for domestic SMEs and consumers.

In 2018, the Fair Trade Commission concluded that after two years of investigation, Apple was fighting against domestic carriers.

It is a charge for penalizing advertisements and free repair fees if they do not respond.

In response, Apple applied for a consent resolution process to come up with its own corrective measures and received final approval from the authorities within a year and a half.

First, Apple Korea announced that it will ease the burden of advertising costs and improve the consultation process transparently.

In addition, we promised to create a win-win fund worth KRW 100 billion and use it for SMEs and consumers in Korea.

Specifically, KRW 40 billion for establishment and operation of the R&D support center for SMEs in the manufacturing sector,

KRW 10 billion for digital education in educational blind spots and public facilities,

It has announced that it will provide 25 billion won each for the establishment of a developer academy, training, and iPhone repair costs and discounts on Apple Care services.

The FTC has said it will closely monitor Apple’s commitment to corrective measures over the next three years.
