A total of 19.5 trillion won in emergency funds will be provided to 6.9 million people, including small business owners and the underprivileged, whose damage is concentrated due to the prolonged corona 19.

Small business owners with reduced sales will receive the 4th subsidy in 5 steps from 5 million won to 1 million won.

To raise funds, the government decided to organize an additional 15 trillion won and submit it to the National Assembly.

Disaster subsidies were paid twice, but complaints from small business owners who did not receive subsidies due to sales and employee standards are on the verge of explosion.

Accordingly, the government has focused on resolving the blind spot for small business owners.

400,000 businesses with 5 or more full-time workers and 240,000 businesses with a sales limit of 1 billion won or less will be eligible to receive additional damage subsidies.

In addition, 1.05 million small business owners will receive new support, including one-person business owners who operate multiple businesses.

However, it is supported only in cases where sales declined last year, based on the VAT sales reported last month.

The cost of support has also increased, and support is divided into five stages, ranging from KRW 5 million to KRW 1 million.

Based on the intensity and damage level of the quarantine measures, it has been subdivided from the previous 3 steps.

5 million won is provided for indoor sports facilities and karaoke rooms with extended ban on gatherings, and 4 million won for academies and winter sports facilities where the ban has been eased.

Group-restricted businesses such as restaurants and cafes are paid 3 million won, and general businesses such as travel and performance businesses that have reduced sales by more than 20% receive 2 million won.

Small business owners who operate multiple business sites are paid up to twice the amount of support.

For 40,000 managed street vendors, 500,000 won is provided for each location on the premise of business registration.

Employment security funds are also provided to the underprivileged, such as special type workers and freelancers, corporate taxi drivers whose sales have decreased, and caring service workers.

In addition, a livelihood subsidy is provided for 800,000 households in the poor with marginal work, and a special work scholarship is provided to 10,000 college students whose parents are unemployed or closed.

The government has decided to invest a total of 19.5 trillion won to support emergency damages for small businesses and support for jobs that have deteriorated significantly.

The 15 trillion won will be used as an additional budget, and the rest will be used this year’s budget.

Deficit government bonds of 10 trillion won will be issued, and this year’s fiscal deficit will increase to 126 trillion won and national debt will increase to 966 trillion won.
