On the 5th, the Blue House responded to a national petition regarding the so-called “disclosure of the perpetrators of the murder of three mothers and daughters,” saying, “We have decided to disclose the identity of the suspect Kim Tae-hyun (25).
Earlier, a petition to visit the victims’ homes and reveal the identity of the perpetrator who murdered the three mothers and daughters was posted on the Blue House National Petition Bulletin, and about 253,000 people agreed. The Blue House is giving an official response to the petition with more than 200,000 people’s consent.
The Police Personal Information Disclosure Committee decided to disclose the personal information of the suspect, taking into account that Kim Tae-hyun’s crimes were cruel and serious damage occurred, that there was sufficient evidence to believe that the suspect committed a crime, and public interests.
The Blue House said, “I wish the victims of the victims of cruel crimes a deep consolation to the bereaved families.” He added, “We hope that the perpetrators will be punished based on a thorough investigation in the future, and to prevent the recurrence of these criminal acts, we will continue to strengthen related laws and systems, such as the protection of victims as well as punishment.”
On the 23rd of last month, Kim Tae-hyun is accused of stabbing and killing three mothers and daughters with a weapon in an apartment in Nowon-gu, Seoul. It was investigated that he, disguised as a delivery driver and entered the victims’ homes, first killed the little daughter who was at that time, followed by the returning mother and the eldest daughter in turn. It is said that Kim Tae-hyun attempted self-harm by staying in the victims’ residence until he was arrested by the police after the crime. The police secured a statement that “after self-harm, so thirst was so strong that I took out alcohol and food from the refrigerator at home,” and is confirming the correct facts.
