In addition, the Democratic Research Institute, a think tank of the Democratic Party, will begin the schedule of a policy expo that will tour 17 cities and provinces nationwide starting on the 21st and until the end of August. The first place to visit is Busan, which is interpreted as having launched a’support shot’ to overturn the sloping market trend with the power of the people 70 days before the 4/7 by-election.

On this day, the Democratic Research Institute held a discussion meeting on the subject of’proposing a vision of Busan’ in collaboration with the Busan City Party of the Democratic Party in the assembly room of the Busan City Party. Hae-young Kim, director of the Oryukdo Research Institute, will serve as the chairman, and Won-sik Woo, a special committee for balanced national development of the Democratic Party, will give a keynote speech on the theme of’Busan New Port and New Airport’. In addition, discussions on related contents will continue as Kwon Ki-cheol, a professor of economics at Busan University of Foreign Studies, gave a presentation on’The Regional Economic Effect of Busan New Airport’ and Nam Ki-chan, President of Busan Port Authority,’Busan New Port and Regional Economic Effect’.

Under the slogan of’proposing a vision for the region’, the Democratic Party’s Policy Expo listens to the opinions of the local economy, academia, and civil society, and the economy, labor, welfare, city, transportation, culture, tourism, housing, medical care, childcare, education, etc. It was prepared to discover regional issues and policies in each field.

The event was attended by Democratic Party representative Lee Nak-yeon and congratulatory remarks by former Secretary-General of the State Company Kim Young-chun and former Busan City Council Chairman Park In-young, who ran for the 4-7 Busan Mayor by-election.

Prior to this, Lee visited Gadeokdo Island in Gangseo-gu, Busan and toured the new airport site. At this meeting, it is scheduled to reconfirm the policy of handling the’Gadeok New Airport Special Act’ (Gadeok Island New Airport Construction Promotion Special Act) in the Provisional National Assembly in February. It aimed at targeting the public sentiment of Busan by promoting the strength and differentiation of the people, which puts the’Gimhae New Airport blank position statement’ as a prerequisite for handling special laws by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

Meanwhile, a policy expo will be held in Seoul on the 27th following Busan. At the event held in the Democratic Party’s Seoul Conference Room under the theme of “proposing a vision for Seoul,” Rep. Park Sung-joon and Lee Su-jin will be in charge of the conference, and experts from various fields will pre-record policy proposals on about 15 topics including the Seoul Vision. Is expected.
