[아시아경제 이지은 기자] President Moon Jae-in said, “Korea will continue to move toward’carbon neutrality in 2050′,” and said that he will make efforts to adapt to the global climate, such as the Digital Green New Deal and the operation of the Climate Adaptation Academy.
On the 25th, President Moon attended the’Climate Adaptation Summit’ held by the Netherlands to seek international solutions to adaptation to climate change on the 25th, and expressed his determination to act on climate adaptation.
Climate change adaptation is’climateAs one of the two pillars of the’Convention on Change’ and the’Paris Agreement’, it aims to take appropriate actions or attitudes in response to current or anticipated climate and climate impacts, mitigate or avoid damage, or use given opportunities to induce positive outcomes.
President Moon emphasized that since 2009, before the signing of the Paris Agreement, Korea has established and implemented climate-adaptation measures every five years, and said, “Korea will continue to move toward ‘2050 carbon neutrality’, which we pledged last year.”
President Moon said, “We will prepare and practice’small rules of conduct’ that can be practiced in everyday life, promote the’Green New Deal’ that combines digital innovation across all areas of society, while sharing its experiences and achievements with countries around the world.” Said.
It also announced that it will support climate adaptation efforts in developing countries and will operate a climate adaptation academy in collaboration with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change from this year. He also requested that he pay great attention to the 2nd P4G (solidarity for green growth and global target 2030) summit held in Korea in May.
