President Moon Jae-in attended a memorial ceremony for the 4/3 victims of the 73rd anniversary held at the 4/3 Peace Park Education Center in Bonggae-dong, Jeju City on the 3rd and said, “The newly revised Jeju 4 3 Special Law is a blueprint for building a historic house called 4 3, and the government We will refine the blueprints in detail, and we will faithfully implement them.”

President Moon said through a memorial address that day, “I am very fortunate to be able to report on the revision of the April 3 Special Law today.”

“There are still 2162 minutes of special retrial remaining,” he said. “The government will fulfill its national responsibility by returning a little bit of what was stolen by national violence through investigation of truth, restoration of honor, and compensation and compensation for each and every person.” Added.

“The government will do its best to investigate further facts as well as follow-up measures to restore the honor of the prisoner,” he said. “We will do our best to establish fair and reasonable standards for compensation and compensation.”

At the plenary session of the National Assembly on February 26th, a special law amendment was passed that included further investigation of the facts of the Jeju 4 and 3 incidents, restoration of the victims’ honor, and support for victims through state violence. The 2,530 prisoners who were sentenced to the April 3 Military Court Conference opened a way to restore their honor through a lump-sum retrial.

The government will support genetic identification along with the remains-excavation project and will surely return the deceased to the arms of the family.” . In addition, regarding the ‘4·3 Trauma Center’, which has been piloted since May of last year, he said, “As soon as the relevant laws are enacted, the government will promote it to the National Trauma Center and support the healing of many people’s pains.”

“The 73rd spring has come to Jeju Island, but the road that 4·3 has to reach is still far away,” he said. “The revealed truth will serve as a driving force for unity, and the reclaimed honor will lead to greater harmony and coexistence, peace and human rights.” Added.
