The KOSPI reached the 3,000 mark for the first time in history based on the closing price.
Individual investors, who are leading the rise in the domestic stock market, were found to intensively purchase leading business owners in each field last year.

The KOSPI surged 2.14% from the previous day, closing at 3,031.68.
It has been 13 years and 5 months since July 25, 2007, when the KOSPI exceeded 3,000 based on the closing price.
Amid the sentiment of expectations for additional stimulus in the US and interest in earnings, institutions net bought more than 1 trillion and led the KOSPI to rise.

Last year, it was found that individual investors intensively bought stocks of leading domestic companies.
Last year, individual investors net bought stocks in the securities market and the KOSDAQ market, the largest ever, KRW 63.7 trillion.
Of these, 41.5 trillion won was spent on buying 46 stocks of KOSPI’s representative companies, which are ranked 1st to 3rd in the industry.
The top stocks in net purchase amount by individual investors last year were Samsung Electronics (9.5 trillion won), Samsung Electronics Woo (6.1 trillion won), Hyundai Motors (2.6 trillion won), Naver (2 trillion won), and Shinhan Holdings (1 trillion won). 300 billion won) Kakao (1.2 trillion won) SK (1.2 trillion won), KEPCO (1.1 trillion won), SK Hynix (870 billion won), KT&G (720 billion won) Was.

According to the Korea Exchange, individual investors net bought 2,775,400,000 shares of Samsung Electronics, worth KRW 2.37 trillion, for three days from the 4th when the domestic stock market opened.
For three days, personal net purchases of Samsung Electronics and Samsung Electronics preferred stocks totaled 70% of the total individual net purchases of KOSPI.
Individual investors are also investing mainly in Korea’s leading companies with strong performances, and they are showing the same investment strategies as institutional and foreign investors.
