Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital has stepped forward for the safe vaccination of seniors aged 75 or older who are vaccination against the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).
Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital announced that it provided medical support such as advice on the vaccination process and monitoring of adverse reactions for subjects aged 75 or older, which took place from the 8th to the 14th.
Earlier, Hwaseong City built a Corona 19 Vaccination Center in Dongtan Hwaseong City Naraeul General Social Welfare Center (consigned by Hallym University Medical Center). The center gave priority vaccinations to 837 residents and workers of elderly nursing homes and day care facilities in the eastern part of Hwaseong-si and 11,485 elderly people aged 75 or older who submitted consent for vaccination.
The hospital, as the only university hospital in Hwaseong City, has cooperated with Hwaseong City and Hwaseong City Health Centers to ensure safe COVID-19 vaccination can be achieved to support medical personnel and assist with overall medical system consulting on operation. Nine medical staff including interns, including 7 specialists including Professor Woo Heung-jung of Infectious Medicine, Professor Kim Joo-yong of Neurology, and Kwak Mi-kyung of Endocrinology, were dispatched to support professional vaccination.
Medical staff supported all possible situations during the COVID-19 vaccination process, from the pre-registration stage to emergency treatment in case of an adverse reaction. In addition, Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital prepared a process from identification with Hwaseong City and Hwaseong City Health Centers a month ago to prepare a questionnaire, pre-examination, vaccination, and monitoring of adverse reactions with Hwaseong City and Hwaseong City Health Centers for smooth vaccine center operation.
