The aftermath of the COVID-19 group infection by door-to-door sales company employees who stayed at the closed school in Ganghwa Island is serious.

It spreads all over the country, centering on the metropolitan area, and the number of related confirmed cases is approaching 60, and concerns about the nth spread are also growing.

Since 2015, it has been used as a camping facility called’Haeoreum International Education and Culture Center’.

On the 25th, an employee of a water purifier visiting sales company in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, who had visited this place, was confirmed.

As a result of the epidemiological investigation, it was confirmed that close contact was made with about 60 people related to the company at the closed school.

The problem is that the trend of confirmed cases is spreading all over the country, centering on the metropolitan area.

When looking at the infected people by region, there were 25 in Seoul, 15 in Gyeonggi-do, 14 in Ganghwa-gun, and 1 in Incheon, and one in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk-do, Gangwon-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do each were confirmed.

Some of the confirmed cases have even been revealed to have made false statements to the quarantine authorities, raising concerns over whether there is a hidden infected person, and’the possibility of the nth spread’ is increasing.

In addition to the epidemiological investigation, the Ganghwa-gun Office, where the fire fell immediately, is accelerating the investigation of the camping process.

After requesting the police to investigate the three people who made false statements for violating infectious diseases, we are considering a plan to accuse the Ganghwa Education Support Office for neglect of the school closure.

The Ganghwa Education Support Office explained that the group in question had taken over the closed school without permission since 2015, and that legal disputes for eviction such as lawsuits in Myeongdo have been continuing for many years.

The quarantine authorities are focusing their capacity on identifying additional contacts based on statements from nearby residents that these groups are religiously related.
