505 new corona 19 confirmed patients… 500 people in 36 days

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Bangdaebon), the cumulative confirmed cases as of 0 o’clock on this day increased by 505 from 0 o’clock the previous day to 101275. It was 36 days after 561 on February 19 that the number of new confirmed cases exceeded 500.

There were 490 new cases of domestic outbreaks and 15 cases of overseas inflows. Of the 15 confirmed foreign inflows, 3 were tested positive during the airport/port quarantine stage, and 12 were quarantined in the local community. There are 4 Koreans and 11 foreigners.

With sporadic group infections occurring one after another across the country, the number of new confirmed cases in the last week was 456 → 415 → 346 → 428 → 430 → 494 → 505.

Among them, the number of confirmed cases in Korea during the last week was 437 → 396 → 331 → 411 → 419 → 471 → 490, on average, 422.1 people per day. From the 11th to the 17th, they are staying in the range of 2.5 levels of social distancing (400-500 people), around 400 people.

The number of deaths increased by 5 to a cumulative 1721. The fatality rate, the proportion of deaths among confirmed patients, is about 1.70%.

The number of confirmed cases whose quarantine was lifted through treatment after infection was counted to 93,475, an increase of 845. The quarantine release rate among confirmed patients was 92.30%.
