In the event of an infectious disease crisis such as the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19), if a multi-use facility violates the quarantine rules, it is expected to face 10 days of suspension of operation due to the’One Strike Out System’.

On the 26th, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) announced that it will conduct a legislative notice on the amendment to the sub-law (enforcement ordinance and enforcement regulations) of the’Act on the Prevention and Management of Infectious Diseases’ by the 16th of next month.

This revised bill was prepared to improve the effectiveness of quarantine measures in preparation for the prolonged COVID-19 outbreak, and to stipulate matters necessary for the stable execution of vaccinations to form collective immunity.

In the existing enforcement regulations, when a multi-use facility first violated the quarantine guidelines such as wearing a mask, a’warning’ action was taken, but the so-called’one strike out system’ was applied to the new enforcement rule, and the operation was suspended for 10 days from the first violation. You lose.

In addition, the period of facility and self-discipline was changed from the existing’maximum incubation period’ to’a day determined by the KCDC within the maximum incubation period’ amid the quarantine crisis situation. The isolation period can be flexibly operated in consideration of cases where antibodies are formed due to the recent corona 19 vaccination, etc.

In the scope of reporting adverse reactions after vaccination, cases of temporary vaccination were also expanded. Infectious diseases, which are subject to temporary preventive methods, have been added to the scope of reporting adverse reactions that were previously conducted only for essential vaccinations, allowing rapid reporting of adverse reactions after vaccination with the Corona 19 vaccination.

The disease administration said, “During the legislative notice period, the amendment will be finalized after sufficiently collecting opinions from the public.” Organizations or individuals with opinions on the amendment can submit their opinions to the Infectious Disease Policy Division of the Agency for Disease Control and Prevention by the 15th for the enforcement decree and by the 16th for the enforcement regulations.
