[사회][단독] Unmanned parking system that cannot identify’fake paper license plate’

In an apartment, an outsider was caught using a parking lot by copying the license plate of a resident without permission.

It was a sloppy license plate made of paper, but the unmanned parking system could not be filtered out.

The company, which is the number one company in the industry, acknowledged the system error and promised to correct it.

When a vehicle enters the apartment’s underground parking lot, the blocker opens.

After a while, the man gets out of the vehicle and removes something from the license plate and leaves.

As it turned out, the residents’ license plates were secretly copied out of paper and pasted on their own cars.

Mr. A, a man in his 40s, spent nearly a month in the parking lot of this apartment, restricted to outsiders.

I took the train to commute, and the reason was that the apartment was close to where I got on.

The problem is that the unmanned parking system that recognizes the vehicle number cannot differentiate between the paper and the actual license plate.

The reporters tested whether it was possible to pass through a’paper license plate’ at a facility that uses the unmanned parking control system of the same company as the apartment.

This is the license plate for the facility’s vehicle printed on plain paper.

I will try to access the parking lot by attaching it to an external vehicle.

As soon as I approach the parking control camera, the barrier goes up.

The license plate registered as a van was duplicated and pasted onto an unregistered small SUV, but it passed safely.

As you can see, the unmanned parking control system recognized a fake license plate that had nothing to do with the incoming vehicle.

With a piece of paper, a hole was pierced in the security of an unmanned parking lot.”

The company that developed the unmanned parking system supplies the devices to airports, apartments, and large shopping malls nationwide.

In the industry, it was promoted as the number one company in Korea and received a ministerial citation.

When the coverage began, the company acknowledged the system’s error and announced that it would work to make up for it.
