Police confiscated and searched for allegations of speculation on candidate sites for smart national industrial complexes by city hall officials.

It is reported that the Sejong Police Agency has secured data related to industrial complex selection from four locations, including the City Hall Land Information Division and the City Council Office.

Earlier, three government officials and four civilians were enlisted in Sejong City and were investigating them for land speculation.

The police will analyze the confiscated data to see if the suspects used the inside information to buy the land.

The Chungnam Police Agency also conducted a seizure and search of 8 locations including Sejong City Hall, the real estate brokerage office, and the Ministry of Public Administration and Security.

Separately from the Sejong Police Agency, another suspicion of real estate speculation was raised by Sejong City Hall officials and investigated.

It is reported that the search for seizure took place in a wide range, including the contents of internal messenger conversations with computers of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security.

The police explained that this was to confirm the connection to the real estate transaction related to the case.

Earlier, Sejong City announced that there are no public officials who have traded land except for employees who voluntarily reported on the planned smart industrial complex.
