Cyworld to resume service in May
Proceed to refund 3.5 billion won of acorns stored

Cyworld, the ‘1st Generation SNS’, which will resume service in May, is proceeding with a refund process worth 3.5 billion won worth of acorns.
Cyworld Z said on the 19th, “We have signed an agreement with SK Communications on the transfer of Cyworld service data on the 18th.”
With this agreement, Cyworld Z will be able to access the Cyworld server stored in the IDC center in 1 year and 5 months and begin full-scale user recovery work.

It was confirmed that 18 billion user DBs were preserved in the server without loss.
Cyworld Z explained, “The server holds the data of 32 million members, including 17 billion photos, 530 million MP3 files, and 150 million videos.”
In addition, SK Communications will refund acorns worth 3.5 billion won. Refunds are processed at the same time as the Cyworld mobile version is opened, and the necessary costs are borne by the company.
