However, the US is pushing for denuclearization and human rights improvement, and North Korea withdraws its policy in case of hostility toward North Korea.

Unusually, North Korea did not respond to the ROK-US joint exercise.

Vice President Kim Yeo-jeong suddenly gave a talk eight days after the training began.

Although we aimed at the ROK-US training, what drew even more attention was the warning to the US, saying, “Don’t make a night’s sleep.”

This is because it was the first official reaction to the Biden administration, and the day before the first simultaneous visit of the Secretary of State and Defense in 11 years to Korea.

The discourse by First Division Choi Sun-hee at the dawn on the day of the ‘2+2’ meeting, where the Korean and US diplomatic and defense ministers all gathered, further affirmed this sentiment.

They strongly expressed their position that the US should first withdraw its hostilities against North Korea in a situation where domestic and foreign eyes are focused on ‘2+2’.

Experts have assessed that at this point, indirect dialogue between North America has already begun.
