Germany welcomed US President Joe Biden’s statement to Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “killer”.
According to the AFP news agency, on the 18th (local time), German Foreign Minister Heiko Mas said on the day that “Germany welcomes President Biden’s’clear language’ with respect to Russia.”
“Since the inauguration of the Biden administration, we have made it clear that there will be a’clear language’ of the United States about Russia in the dialogue between the leaders of each country,” he added. “President Biden proved this.”
Earlier, in an interview with ABC News the day before, President Biden replied “yes” to the question of whether he thinks Putin is the killer in relation to the suspicion that he ordered the poisoning of political opponent Alexey Navalni.
In addition, President Biden said he would “pay a price” when it comes to allegations that President Putin tried to impede his run during the US presidential election last year.
In response, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs revolted by summoning Anatoly Antonov, Ambassador to the United States to Moscow. However, at an event that day, President Putin responded, saying, “The United States is the only country in the world to use nuclear weapons,” and to President Biden, “I wish you good health.”
