What stands out in the actions of serial killer Robert Aaron Long (21) is that religious activities, sex addiction, and racist words and actions are mixed together. Mi et al. reported that Long attended Crabapple First Baptist Church in Milton, Georgia. Long is known to have been a devout believer, taking part in Sunday mornings and evenings, Wednesday evenings, and mission trips. “Long was a typical teenager in the Atlanta suburbs,” said Brett Courtrell, who was in charge of the church’s youth department. “It was shocking and devastating.” Looking at the internet media, in a 2018 video posted on the church’s Facebook page, Long said, “I thought I became a Christian when I was eight, and I was baptized at that time.” He was treated for sex addiction, where he felt excessively compulsive and impulsive for sexual activity. An anonymous man, who had shared a room with Long at a rehabilitation center, said that Long was reluctant to talk about his addictive disorder and that when he left the facility, he appeared to have improved. Tyler Baileys, a man who lived with Long at a rehabilitation facility between 2019 and 2020, said, “I got sick again. I went to a massage parlor to have sex,” he told (CNN). Long also revealed his hatred toward Asians in the wake of Corona 19. According to an article he posted on his social media, “China was involved in concealing Corona 19. They know how the’Wuhan Virus’ was created, and killing 500,000 Americans is just part of the plan for world domination in the 21st century.” He continued, “All Americans must fight against China,” he argued, “the greatest evil of our time.” Meanwhile, the Atlanta Regional Newspaper (AJC) reported that Long’s parents reported his actions to the police. Long’s parents informed him that the person in the news about the incident was their son, and reported that a GPS tracker was installed in Tucson, a sports utility vehicle (SUV) of Hyundai Motor, which Long drives.
