E-Mart said, “We considered the achievement of 14 trillion 2138 billion won in sales and 295 billion won in operating profit even in a difficult internal and external business environment.”

Jeong Yoo-kyung, general manager of Shinsegae Department Store Division, received a total of 2.96 billion won, including a salary of 1.79 billion won and a bonus of 1.16 billion won in Shinsegae. It was 4.95% less than last year’s annual salary (3,114 million won).

Shinsegae Group Chairman Lee Myung-hee, the mother of Vice-Chairman Chung and General President Chung, received a total of 3.95 billion won last year, including 1.261 billion won at Shinsegae and 2.69 billion won at E-Mart. Chairman Lee’s husband, Jeong Jae-eun, the honorary chairman of Shinsegae Group, also received the same amount. Each Shinsegae’s annual salary increased by 9.94% from last year (1,174 million won), and E-Mart’s annual salary decreased by 8.21% from the previous year (2.934 billion won).

Shinsegae Group said, “According to the executive remuneration regulations determined by the board of directors, we calculated the annual salary in consideration of the position, the nature of the commissioned work, the results of the performance, and the company’s contribution.”
