Yes, President of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) Commissioner Jeong Eun-kyung said at a general meeting of the National Assembly Health and Welfare Committee today (17th) that the formation of blood clots after vaccination was “one of the deaths was reported to be reviewed because autopsy findings were reported.”
The person who reported that a blood clot had formed after vaccination with AstraZeneca was a woman in her 60s, who was admitted to a nursing hospital.
No official autopsy results have been reported.
However, earlier, the Corona 19 Vaccination and Response Team announced that no cases were confirmed that thrombosis occurred after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine in Korea, and that the vaccination will proceed as planned.
He also emphasized that thrombosis is not a disease included in the adverse reactions of the COVID-19 vaccine, and that the domestic AstraZeneca vaccine is a different product from the controversial European vaccine.
This afternoon, the Agency for Disease Control and Prevention is scheduled to announce possible explanations such as the presumed cause of death, the causal relationship with vaccination, and the naked eye findings during the autopsy.
