Yoon Yeo-jung “Oscar Candidate, I can’t even think of it in my dreams…I have to celebrate it”

Yoon Yeo-jung, the first Korean actor to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the movie’Minari’, said, “I never thought of it even in my dreams,” and said that the nomination was unexpected.

Yoon Yeo-jeong said, “It was just a different world story for me,” the AP reported on the 16th.

He explained that after finishing the filming schedule in Vancouver, Canada, he arrived in Korea and heard from his manager that he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

He recently visited Canada to film the drama’Pachinko’ of the video streaming company Apple TV Plus and returned to Korea on the 15th.

As soon as he arrived at the airport, he found out that he was nominated for an Oscar an hour later. “The manager is much younger than me, but when I was browsing the internet, he suddenly told me,’Wow, I was nominated.’ I didn’t cry.”

“The manager became more emotional than me (at the news of the Oscar nomination), and I felt stupid too,” he said. “So I just hugged the manager and was in the living room.”

Yoon Yeo-jeong said, “Because I have just returned from Canada, I need to have a quarantine period to quarantine the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19). We will celebrate together.”
